A design critique is a meeting to get specific and actionable feedback from the team to improve design solutions. Design critiques are useful when I'm stuck on a problem, need to refine UIUX designs, provide visibility of work in progress, and team alignment. I used to be intimidated at the thought of presenting my work for evaluation but I quickly discovered how important it is for the design thinking process.
The designs are presented within online tools like Figma or Miro for evaluation and commenting. I use a standard format that asks what is the design problem and what feedback are you looking for? The session would include 3 roles: Facilitator, Presenter, and a Critic.
